Users of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) will be familiar with its capabilities as a sophisticated software management suite. SCCM allows administrators to manage large numbers of Windows computers and is designed to allow for remote control, patch management, operating system deployment, network protection and other various services. SCCM was formerly known as Systems Management Server (SMS). In 2007, SMS was renamed to SCCM.
Whatever the name, Hardcat has developed a great companion tool allowing you to interrogate your SMS 2003 or SCCM 2007/2012 system and store system properties against objects in your Hardcat fixed asset management database. Our tool even logs changes and sends alerts to named administrators.
